What this site collects, and why

If you send the contact form

The form asks for your name, your email address, and a description of your project. That message is emailed to me so I can reply, and a confirmation is emailed to you. The email service keeps a delivery record: your address, which email was sent, and whether it arrived.

Your address is not added to a mailing list. The confirmation email carries an unsubscribe link, and using it stops any further email from this site to that address.

If you run the free audit

The audit logs the domain you entered and the results of its checks, so I can see how the tool is used. It does not ask for your name or email. Your IP address is used only to limit how often the tool can be run, sits only in the server's temporary memory until the server restarts, and is never written to the database.

Analytics

This site uses Google Analytics to count visits: which pages were viewed, how you arrived, your approximate location, and your device type. It also records when the contact form is sent or an audit is completed, without the contents of either.

This site also uses Microsoft Clarity, which records how pages are used: clicks, scrolling, and mouse movement, and can replay a visit as a session recording so I can see where a page confuses people. Text you type into form fields is masked and is not captured.

Both services set cookies in your browser and process this data under their own privacy policies. Neither is used for advertising.

When something breaks

If the site hits an error, a technical report of that error is sent to an error-monitoring service so it can be fixed. These reports describe the failure, not you.

What this site does not do

It does not sell or rent your information, run advertising or retargeting, or share your details with anyone beyond the services named on this page, which handle them only to do their job.

Your choices

You can block or clear cookies in your browser, and Google offers a browser add-on that opts you out of Google Analytics on every site. To ask what I hold from the contact form, or to have it deleted, email hello@minarvo.com.
